Childbirth Class

Tonight was our first childbirth class. It went well. As it turns out most women look as big as me! It was nice to meet other mothers though. I am the only mother who anticipates natural birth. The video we watched was intriguing but we didn't learn too much although it was helpful.

5 Minutes

I feel like this doctor's appointment was only 5 minutes long. I did ask Dr. Adolfo if I would have the same room the entire time. She then explained that some rooms are LDR (Labor, Delivery, and Recovery) while others are LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery and Postpardom). It was nice to have the difference explained.

Sleep???

Sleep is becoming less frequent. I still am able to fall asleep, but I'm waking up for longer times throughout the night. Last night, I woke up around 2 went to the bathroom and then James woke up. When he got back in bed, he put his hand on my stomach and the show began. Little Kicker was moving around so much, I had to tell James to remove his hand because I think he wants to play. James kept telling me that those were his knees kicking me. I was up for about an hour feeling him move. What a miracle this is!

Finally Mom!

Today, my Mom finally felt the baby move. I was standing by the steps and told her he was moving again. She put her hand on my stomach and he let out a big KICK! I was at my mom's house celebrating our family birthdays (James III, Jalen, Val and I). The first two share my birthday. We had a great time. James III read his own cards (after repeating after me). It was so cute. A family that prays together stays together!

Birthday

Today was a great day. My 30th birthday. Originally, James and I were going to go to breakfast with my mom, but by the time we got up, breakfast was coming to a close. We decided before we headed out of town to meet my mom at the movies to see the movie 'Taken'. It was a great movies. Afterwards we headed to the Borgata in Atlantic City for the night. I know little Kicker was wondering what all the noise was while we were walking around the casino. It was a great birthday!!!

29 Weeks

Today we have our 29th week checkup. These appointments are so short, but important. Little Kicker is doing well, he his growing nicely. He decided when the doctor was trying to hear his heartbeat that it was a great time to kick. The doctor thought it was me, I told her no, it's the baby!
