Trip out

This evening we took a family trip in the new truck to babiesr us to get window shades for the car. This was Jessica's first trip out besides the doctors .earlier in the day.

I was feeding Jessica and talking to her telling her how much I love her and she smiled at me. I was so excited.

Skin to skin

Last night was a much better night. I was not crawling out of my skin and was able to get a little rest. Jessica on the other hand had to have all of her clothes removed so we could do skin to skin to get her to stay awake and eat. After that she ate no problem.

Juandice

Today was a rough day. I found out about noon she has jaundice and has to go under the lights. I cried she looked so uncomfortable with the shield over her eyes (to protect her retina from the lights). She had lots of visitors so I was back and forth to the nursery. One good thing was that she started eating better. That made me feel good because I really did t want her being supplemented with formula, but whatever it takes for her to be able to go home.

Jimmy's Reaction

Overall, James has been the big boy I know he could be. He calls his little sister "Je e ca"because he cannot say Jessica. It is so cute. All he wants to do is play with daddy. Oh how I love them so.

Jessica Renee

Jessica Renee Coursey was born a 8:11 AM. She weighed 6lbs 11oz and was 20 inches in length. She was an angel from the start. She latched on right away and had no problems.Jess enjoys sleeping most

The first night was great for Jess, but for mom I had to get an extra dose of allergy medicine because I was having an allergic reaction to the morphine and felt like I was crawling out of my in. I felt better after they gave me some Zyrtec but it was bad. Im ready to take Jess home, but I cant yet

Baby

I'm super nervous. Tomorrow is our big day when we will welcome our new baby into the world. I'm having a scheduled c-section, but didn't know they would tell us to be at the hospital at 5:30 AM for a 7:30 AM surgury. I'm blessed to have a mother that allows us to stay over so she can take Jimmy to daycare. God is good!

Two year Appt

Jimmy's 2 year old appointment went well. He is in the 35th (27.8 oz) percentile for weigh t. 21.61 % for height (2' 9.5). 45.73% for head circumference (19.13) was so funny when the doctor came in he said "Hi doctor" The doctor said he is doing very well and speaks very well. I'm proud of my little buddy!!!

James had a blast playing in daddy's new truck! He must have played in it for 20 minutes

Mother's Day

Mother's Day was wonderful. We got up, had breakfast, and went off to Aunt Dee's house. We spent a little time with her Kurt and Poppi because Jimmy had to get his birthday gift. They gave him clothes and he played with their dog. He had a good time. After church we (James and Marilyn the kids, Shawn, my family and mom) went to the Mariott in Conshockon for brunch and then to mom to watch the Lakers loose. It was a wonderful day!

Birthday

For James' birthday we went to church like every Sunday, then we went (with his cousins) to Chuck-E-Cheese. James had a great time playing and eating pizza! James was able to place his coins in the machine and play the games.
