What a Day!!!

Today began like any other Sunday! James, Jimmy and I woke up and got ready for church. I'm glad I made it in time for communion. I thought we would be too late, because I decided to give Jimmy a bath in the morning. Church was fine the word great and then it begins. James had to do a side job and since he thought it would only take a few minutes he went right after church so the baby and I were with him. Long story short the job was much bigger than James thought, our car broke down outside the Home Depot, and we still did not go to dinner with Aunt Dee. What a day! James and I decided to go home and take a nap beore his basketball game (which they lost). What a day!

Mini Work

Oh my, today I got a small taste of what it will be like to get up, feed Jimmy and get to work by 8. I had to go to some trainings this week for my job, so I don't have to do them in the fall. It's funny how long it can take me to get out of the house! OH MY

Back to church

Jimmy's first Sunday at church was wonderful. Everyone said how adorable he was! It was a little chilly so I kept him covered. Only James, mom and I held him. He only cried when I wasa trying go get his meal ready. What a great baby!

Father's Day

I was so tired because Jimmy work up a couple of times during the night, so that means I'm up with him. James and I tried to lay back down for a couple of minutes around 8, but his mom called. At that point, I just got up and made him breakfast in bed. The rest of our day went like this: church, dinner at Outback, rest and relaxation, off to James and Marilyn's for family time, back home to bed with an awake baby.

7 Weeks

James, mom-mom, Imani and I went to the Norristown Zoo again today. It was an overcast day, but it was nice for James to get his vitamin D. I was glad I remembered my video camera this time so I can show James what he was like on camera at this age. We then spent the remainder of the day at mom-mom's house hanging out.

12-5

Last night Jimmy slept from 12 am until 5:15 am. I am so glad he is sleeping longer. I was not able sleep that entire time because I continue to check on him. Jimmy still sleeps in our room in his bassinet. I know I say this often, but he is a good baby!

Zoo

Today, my mom, Imani and I took Jimmy to the zoo. He was sleep in the beginning, but eventually he woke up and enjoyed the zoo. It was funny, when we went to see the bison, Jimmy took one look at them and started to cry. I don't know if the bison was too close or maybe the smell but Jimmy did not like them!

Mommy's School

James went to school with me today so I could see my students off for the summer. All the kids crowed around him and said how cute he was. I was proud of him because he did not cry once!

Hangin' out

Today, Jimmy and I are simply hangin' out. The pool is almost together one more day and we can get in it. Right now I guess Jimmy had a hard day, because he is laying on my lap taking his afternoon nap. I like for him to sleep before his daddy gets home, so he can spend time with him awake instead of being sleep. Maybe daddy will go for a afternoon walk with us, make that evening it's getting hot out!

Smile Please

Mom came over today to spend some time with him. All we kept saying was smile for the camera, smile please. Well he sort of smiled, but I'm waiting for the big one. He is growing so much though he turns to hear James or my voice. He also tries to talk back to you. He is such a grown man in his own little way!

Picnic

What a day today! Today was James' company picnic and we decided to take my niece and nephew (Imani and James III). Well I tell ya, chasing after them and having Jimmy with us, I was exhausted. All I want Jimmy to do tonight is sleep. He was very good though, he really didn't cry. James and I always say he is such a good baby.

Daddy's day off

What do we do on daddy's day off well nothing really. We all had breakfast then went back to sleep for a few more hours. When then decided to go to my mom's house and watch some movies. It has been a while since I've watched two movies in one night. It was a really nice evening and we were so glad Jimmy slept well tonight.

Cousin

Today my nephew was born. Isreal Andre' Murray was born at 6:09 am. He is a tiny baby weighing only 2.2 lbs and 14 inches. James and I saw him today. God is a good God and we are praying that Jimmy's little cousin will pull through. I'm sure one day I will be reading this and telling them in the same breath stop this or stop that. I pray they are close to one another.

Exactly one month today

Today is James' official one month birthday (if you would celebrate that). He sent the day with mommy and mom-mom. We went out to lunch and then hung out at our house. Later in the evening Uncle James, Imani and James III came over and spent some time with Jimmy. His cousins love him so much! Jimmy even showed them how he can now grab at his toys on his mat! They were able to hold him for a little while and then he started to get fussy. It was time for a nap. His nap was short lived because Imani and James III could not stop going in his room. He survived the ordeal and when daddy came home, I'm sure he was like PRAISE THE LORD!!! He spent the evening hanging out with dad of course on his shoulder where he can see the world.
