Fair
James saw a fair on the way home from work and tonight was the first night we had a chance to go!!! He had a blast on the rides. It turned out the last ride we went on was the Ferris Wheel and I only had 8 tickets. They wanted 4 more (I told the guy that was all I had) he let us on anyway. Can you believe it 4 tickets per person and they would charge a baby!!! So, they let us on and he just looked around. Earlier James went on the Merry-Go-Round with his father. He had fun.
On Friday we asked my brother for his family to come with us to the fair (along with my mom of course). We thought since they have a 10 and 4 year old they would have a good time. They did of course and we stayed there until after 9. Jimmy slept late the next day!!!

Swim Lessons
Today was James' first day of swim class. He was great. He learned to blow bubbles, jump into the water off the side (really just move from the side into my arms), kick his feet and learn swimming strokes. We played water games and everyone. All this within an 1/2 an hour. He had a blast though. I couldn't wait to call daddy and tell him about it. After his class I got him pretzels from the Pretzel Factory. James was so tired that he went to sleep on the way home from Walmart. He slept for almost 2 hours and still slept in the afternoon again.
Later in the evening James went swimming in our pool with his daddy. He showed daddy that he learning how to kick and he slid in the pool from the side. Smart kid we have.
We both this evening were teaching him up/down and on/off. He got it well especially turning the TV on and off.

Father's Day 2010
The day began with James awakening at 6:45. We went for a walk just the two of us!!! So funny as we were walking (around 7:35) we saw a kid on a swing. I tell James to look at him (he does). Next thing I hear is the kids mom asking him what he was doing out the house so early; then she told him to get back in the house. Too funny. James and came back in the house and started to get breakfast ready for dad! We made him blueberry pancakes with turkey bacon. He loved it. We then gave him his cards and presents. All of which were a hit, especially the flip flops! Everyone got dressed and then off to church. James was sleep on the way to church so when we got there he stayed asleep and I was able to enjoy some of Sunday School. YEAH!!! After church we went to mom's and we had steak, lobster, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, Amish macaroni salad, tossed salad and for dessert ice cream, apple pie and key lime pie! The men after we watch a movie went to play basketball!!!Great time had by all :-)

Pool/Book
James got in our pool for the first time. He loved it. We have a boat and he would just sit on top of the water barely getting wet. He did not like it. So I stuck him in the other floating device. This one his feet are in the water. He preferred that one until he started shivering because he was cold. It was a very nice family time together!
Tonight I read my first Dr. Seuss book to James all the way through. It was in the pile of bedtime books ( I guess daddy read it the night before). Normally I pick a really long Dr. Seuss book and he falls asleep before I get to the end, but not tonight. I surprised he even had the attention span because Green Eggs and Ham was the last book and this was after 2 other books and 2 bible stories. Smart kid huh!

Snack time

While I was getting dinner ready, I left out some snacks for James to eat. It was so funny because he grabbed a handful of snacks and then sat on the step. I of course let him know how cute this was and he just smiled. I thought "self this is a picture moment" and took the picture!
Oh how much he is growing and communicating. James let me know he wanted to go down his little slide by trying to take it apart and put it up. Unfortunately for him it is waaaayyyy too heavy. I helped him out and put him down the slide.
Later in the evening I helped him make a hand print of his hand at 1 years old. He did not like the plaster too much, but oh well!
Sorry a little blurry, I will work on the pic!

Deal
What is the deal. James woke up at 6:30 on Saturday, 6:00 on Sunday, 5:30 on Monday and he woke up normal time this morning. I don't know what the problem is. He also sounds like is a little sore throat. My co-worker said it may be allergies. That makes a little sense since we have been outside a lot and James was cutting the grass yesterday. Please this weekend 8:00 or at least 7:30!!!

Swimming
My first time in a swimming pool and I had a blast. It was my cousin Izrael's first birthday party at the YMCA. I was trying to swim by kicking my legs and moving my arms, but of course mommy and daddy held on tight. The water felt a little cold, although they claimed it was 84 degrees. Thanks Uncle James for taking the pics!

Hair Cut
James had his first haircut tonight. He cried the entire time. I felt so bad for him that when he was finished I just held him tight. Of course the smiling side of him quickly let it go, but my heart was breaking for him. The above picture is of him at IHOP afterwards. We know he love pancakes so we took him out to eat. He had pancakes with bananas and strawberries on top! Oh I love him so!

No food
This morning James really did not want breakfast. I think all he wanted to do was go back to sleep, but sorry Charlie mommy has to work so off to day care. I gave his toast as we were driving and he ate that!
